I was born in Richmond Indiana.

After studying at Cornell University at the school of Art Architecture and Planning, I moved to an industrial loft in lower Manhattan where I live and work today.

Until a generation ago, almost everyone practiced handwork. Women especially, knitted, crocheted and embroidered, girls learned by example. All of us then had a connection to these traditions. Not so much anymore. My work aims to integrate the flavor of domestic handiwork into the built environment.
